Marcela is a Brazilian qualified lawyer. She graduated with a First Class Honours Degree at the Mackenzie Presbyterian University in São Paulo, Brazil and passed the Brazilian Bar Association Examination.
Whilst attending Law School in Brazil, Marcela worked in the Intellectual Property team of the legal department of a large multinational company headquartered in Brazil, where she was solely responsible for managing all intellectual property rights in North and South America, Europe and Asia, and partially responsible for rights in Africa and the Middle East.
Before joining the Oxford trade mark team as a trainee trade mark attorney, Marcela worked as a Paralegal for both Patents and Trade Marks in the M&C Oxford office.
Apart from speaking Portuguese, Marcela is fluent in English and has a conversational level of Spanish.
