England's largest onshore wind farm could be coming to Greater Manchester

Plans for England's largest onshore wind farm, near Manchester, are moving forward this week. The project, led by Cubico Sustainable Investments, proposes 21 advanced turbines that will generate over 100 megawatts of power, enough to supply 100,000 homes and meet 10% of Greater Manchester’s energy needs. It supports the UK government’s goal to double onshore wind capacity by 2030. If approved, it would become the fifth-largest onshore wind producer in the UK.
