Fantastic plastics

Yesterday I attended the Cambridge Network event “Making plastics fantastic (again!): From discovery science to industrial application” at the Maxwell Centre. It was really interesting to learn more about the world of sustainable plastics, and to see how the University of Cambridge is getting further involved with this. Not only that, but this was my first in-person networking event since before the pandemic, so it was great to get out and meet people in real life again. I am looking forward to attending many more such events in the future!

Plastics are one of the defining materials of our age, from clothing and packaging to vehicles and construction, and it would be hard to imagine modern living without them.
