Valérie is an experienced Benelux and European Trade Mark and Design Attorney who assists clients with trade mark clearance, brand strategy, prosecution and enforcement.
Valérie advises clients on licencing agreements for wide ranging licensing activities in various sectors. She has experience representing a large range of clients – mostly based in Europe, with a particular focus within the construction, pharmaceutical and cosmetic industries. She has also assisted several European SME's with their IP protection strategies, with the assistance of the SME funds, available at an international level.
Valérie is part of Marks & Clerk’s Designs practice group. She has acquired notable knowledge and experience in this area, having spent several years on weekly secondment at an international glass company located in Belgium.
Valérie graduated with a Master’s degree in Law from the Université Catholique de Louvain (UCL, Louvain-La-Neuve, Belgium). She was also admitted to the Brussels Bar in 1994 (currently omitted) . After experience as inside counsel in a telecommunications company, she has now been working as trade mark and design attorney for more than 20 years, initially in Belgium and now in Luxembourg.
