Sam joined Marks & Clerk in 2017 as a Trainee Patent Attorney. Following graduation from the University of Strathclyde with a MEng with distinction in Mechanical Engineering in 2014, he has worked both onshore and offshore in the oil and gas industry with specialist mechanical and hydraulic tools. During his time at university he also completed internships in both the pharmaceutical and oil and gas industries through the Saltire Foundation, of which he has been an alumnus since 2013.
As part of his Masters degree, he carried out research projects in fluid dynamic principals being applied to stock market modelling, and crossovers between satellite and ROV technology control systems.
