Anis is a Chartered (UK) and European Patent Attorney specialising in matters relating to chemical, pharmaceutical and medical device technologies.
Anis advises NHS trusts, universities, spin-out companies and multinational corporations on early stage technologies ranging from small molecule therapeutics through to surgical devices. He also has extensive experience in the stented heart valve and wound management areas. Further afield, Anis represents organisations operating within the agricultural, biorefinery and textile industries.
Anis’ practice includes the drafting and prosecution of patent applications around the world, advising in relation to infringement matters as well as managing multi-jurisdictional freedom to operate projects. He also has particular experience in dealing with restoration matters across Europe.
Anis graduated from Imperial College London with a Master’s degree in Chemistry. He spent several years working as a medicinal chemist, focussing on small molecule inhibitors for treating neurodegenerative conditions, at GlaxoSmithKline prior to joining the patent attorney profession. Anis also practiced as a patent attorney in the Marks & Clerk Singapore office for a number of years and has the necessary qualifications to be considered a qualified Singapore Patent Attorney.
