Hungry for innovation

COP26 is highlighting the importance of adopting a way of life that protects the planet. This interesting article discusses some of the advances being made in the food & drink industry including 3D printing with protein and nano-tech based methods for packing food. Follow the links on our website to our regular Scran & sIPs publication where we discuss more of the exciting technology being developed within the food and drink industry.

Nanotechnology, or the science of manoeuvring teeny-tiny things around, is more commonly talked about in the manufacture of chips for phones, than fries. However, it also has many potential applications in the food sector. Using miniscule nanomaterials it is now possible to create packaging that keeps the products held inside edible for longer.
