How sustainable is each element?

Tying in nicely with our regular Friday series on the periodic table and patents (see the Chemistry of Everyday Life page - please do, it's fun!), the European Chemical Society have updated their periodic table showing the sustainability of the 90 natural elements. The table also includes a reminder of just how many rare elements - and those from conflict minerals - go in to making your smartphone.

For any linguists reading, there is also a call for community translations of the table, to make it more available and accessible. Please help if you can.
