Hydrogen buses start running in Liverpool

It is exciting to see that hydrogen powered buses have now started running across the Liverpool City region.

The use of hydrogen for transportation is a fast growing field and R&D in hydrogen fuel cells is very active around the world. This is something we were aware of given the clear uptrend in global patent filings in the area since 2015, but it is always satisfying to see this innovation reflected in local life.

Handily, the new buses appear to be bright yellow, so will be easy to spot next time I head into town!

The first of Liverpool City Region's hydrogen buses have started running for passengers.
